AJ Bricks Sales and Transport, sister company to AJ Onsite Bricks and Blocks is a manufacturer of simulated stone products and retailer of construction materials to the commercial and residential construction industry In the Western Cape for over 40 years.
The black-owned, family business produces a wide range of high-quality, wet cast, concrete simulated stone products such as cobble stones and pavers in various sizes, bullnose copings, air vent bricks, window sills, wall cladding and kerbstone edging. Our products are used in construction projects of all sizes and are available in a variety of colours, sizes, and textures, to suit the needs of our customers. We are equipped with a full fleet of trucks varying in size from 1 ton – 35 tons for our customers ensuring a rapid turnaround time.
Our target market includes commercial and residential construction companies, architects, hardware stores, builders, and contractors. The company also serves individual customers who are looking for high-quality construction materials for their projects.

The high thermal mass found in every one of our bricks naturally helps moderate indoor temperatures and thereby significantly reducing the need for energy that's used up by artificial heating and cooling systems. In addition, face brick eliminates the so-called carbon debt associated with a lifetime of maintenance. ABOUT US
The de la Hunt family has been making clay bricks in the Western Cape since 1970. Started by Garnet de la Hunt as Joostenberg Brick, the company has been operating near Stellenbosch, supplying the local building industry with quality clay bricks, then made with the traditional clamp kiln method.
He was later joined by his son, Julian, who started Claytile in 1987 with a focus on technological advancements that could optimise production methods to ensure reliable supply of high-quality bricks. This ethos of consistent improvement and a love for the clay itself are what has propelled the company forward. With the launch of our rotary kiln in 2019, we greatly increased our capacity for brick making and, four years later, launched a new plant dedicated to crafting architectural and design terracotta products.
Now rebranded as Klay, we are enthusiastically embracing the new possibilities in design and construction that clay products can deliver.
Klay, at its core, is dedicated to building beauty that stands the test of time. Through trends, styles and innovations, it remains the natural choice.

We started making floor tiles in the early 1970′s after the earthquakes in the Western Cape, the first samples were very rough, but as we made more and gained more experience we improved our product.
Between more or less 1975 or 1985 we made studio pottery and also gave pottery classes, but due to poor demand the pottery side was stopped and full attention was given to the floor tiles.
George Hatjigiannakis took over in the early 1990′s and is still running the business making an ever popular hand-made clay floor tile.

Revelstone was founded in August 1993 by Andrew Cyprianos. He identified a niche in both the domestic and commercial markets for customised cast stone products – and Revelstone was born!
In 1997, he was joined full time by his son, Alex. Fusing their combined talents, substantial concrete experience and their passion for the business, they have grown Revelstone to be the market leader it is today.
From small beginnings in an underground cellar in Muizenberg, the reputation for innovative products and personalised service rapidly spread. Exponential growth followed, resulting in the company having to move on three occasions before eventually purchasing its own factory where Revelstone has been since 2001.
These new premises further stimulated growth and we now have a 19 000 m2 factory. It has been set up to exacting industry standards, housing everything required in our business from all R&D, management, sales, the showroom, manufacturing, stock and despatch. We are able to co-ordinate all systems from one site resulting in efficient management and control of the entire process.
Our core focus has always been on product innovation and customer service. This can be seen from our small beginnings, through the peak in 2007/2008 and on to the global recession that followed. We are continuously adapting our product ranges to move with the times and keep us up to date with the latest global trends.
As the market leader, we are proud to have accomplished this. By carrying out continual in-depth studies of the art of stone masonry and design, we are able to consistently introduce exciting products to the market. Knowledge gained from this research has allowed all our products to be indistinguishable from natural stone. Attention to detail, subtle variations in colour, and variety of surface textures and the shape of the stone are necessary in order to create a worthy genuine replica.
We have just launched a new brand to represent a new range of engineered concrete products. You will see it represented in this new brochure. The range has been developed through direct involvement by leading Industry Professionals and will continue to grow as new products and sizes are developed. The new range includes custom shaped copings, wall capping, steps and Off Shutter Concrete Cladding. This new engineered range has a more modern and contemporary feel from our traditional range.
Natural stone products are becoming expensive and less environmentally friendly as they are usually imported. As a result, industry professionals and home owners are turning to Revelstone products as the preferred alternative to real stone.
The company is still 100% family owned and run which guarantees that the founding principles are not only maintained, but reinvented as the business has grown and developed, thereby ensuring that the ethos of Revelstone and what it has become is not compromised but enhanced.
