As the only end-to-end garage door manufacturer in South Africa with a truly national footprint, Hydro has established itself as the definitive authority in residential and commercial access solutions. It combines innovative design with robust manufacturing capabilities to serve customers from Cape Town to Johannesburg and everywhere.
The DiGi automation range exemplifies cutting-edge technology that is married to practical functionality.
The flagship DigiOne system delivers impressive 1000N lifting capacity while maintaining energy efficiency through low-power-usage LED lighting that illuminates spaces without straining electrical systems. Installation simplicity remains paramount, with every component thoughtfully included in the box alongside a wireless radio console featuring intuitive Operate, Light, and Lock functions that put complete control at users' fingertips.
For lighter applications, the economical DigiDoor 6 provides 600N capacity with advanced electronic limit and obstacle sensing technology, ensuring safe operation while maintaining the same commitment to simple installation and modern design aesthetics with bright, low-current LED lighting.
Hydro's sectional door range showcases the company's commitment to safety innovation and manufacturing excellence. Standard single skin doors feature revolutionary 'true' anti-pinch door and hinge technology that prioritises user safety without compromising functionality. High-quality AZ150 steel panels are durable, while top-quality hinges and hardware ensure long-lasting performance. The superior spring design and manufacturing process guarantees a minimum 10,000-cycle lifespan, with pre-punched mounting holes facilitating simple assembly. Custom sizes and colours accommodate diverse architectural requirements, ensuring perfect integration with any property aesthetic.
Hydro's roll-up doors demonstrate engineering sophistication through enclosed door roll design, ensuring smooth operation and extended lifespan. The secure double-action lock system proves difficult to dislodge, featuring strong tubular locking bars that provide peace of mind. Integrated wind locks on tracks offer remarkable resistance to high wind loads, while thoughtful edge shaping and positive curtain end settings prevent inner panel scratching during operation. High-quality long-life springs manufactured in-house reflect Hydro's commitment to controlling every aspect of production quality.
Heavy-duty aluminium bottom rails enhance security while top-quality hardware and fixing components ensure reliable long-term performance. Deeper corrugations add structural strength and superior wind resistance, while adjustable side-guide fixing brackets allow installers to select optimal fixing points, simplifying track replacement if damage occurs. This comprehensive approach to design and manufacturing reflects Hydro's understanding that garage doors represent more than mere access points—they are integral security and aesthetic elements that must perform flawlessly for years while enhancing property value and owner satisfaction.
