Tecron Water Heating

Short description:

Tecron Water Heating was established in 1997 due to the firm belief in the efficiency of copper hot watercylinders - because we like to manufacture products that will last a lifetime.

A Tecron Hot Water Cylinder is a carefully refined copper water heater.  Copper remains the global material of choice for the manufacturing of hot water cylinders, because it has proven it durability and reliability over the decades.

Copper is an enviromentally friendly metal.  It does not deteriorate and has the highest recyling rate of any engineering metal in the world.  Copper is naturally biostatic, so it prevents bacterial growth on its surface.

The Good Earth

Short description:

The Good Earth was formed in 2009, after acquiring the sole distribution rights for Falcon Waterfree Technologies in Southern Africa.

Since then our product mix has grown to include:

Falcon-waterfree-urinals

FALCON WATERFREE TECHNOLOGIES

Marketed throughout the world as Falcon Waterfree, Falcon conducts business on every continent, manufacture in nine countries and have offices and affiliates in over 45 nations.

Together, we have installed more than 500 000 Falcon Waterfree urinal systems, with an eye on replacing a healthy share of the more than 50 million water-using urinals already installed.

A proven solution to the Growing Water Crisis: the system can be a major contributor to the world’s environmental health. As much as 5% of fresh water consumed is currently used to carry away urine. Each Falcon Waterfree urinal typically saves up to 100 000 litres or more of fresh water per year, It saves 100% of the water going through urinals, and therefore, 100% of the water and sewer charges.

There is very little maintenance cost on a Falcon urinal as there are no moving parts and no flushometer. Drain lines remain free of calcification as no hard water is running through them. The only maintenance is an easy change of the cartridge, performed approximately three to four times per year.

Timbacore

Short description:

Timbacore's origin dates back as far as 1998, whereby the owner, Nathaniel Roberts – with 15 years experience in the timber environment and related products, started off.

Originally Timbacore started off with the main focus on installations with only four staff members.

In 2001 a new era for Timbacore started as the shop was opened in upper Durban Road (Tygervalley area), where timber products, such as poles, loose timber, trellises, fencing panels, garden edging, railway sleepers, etc were on offer to clients.

This Shop grew rapidly and even within two years, new premises were required as the 500 square meters space became inadequate. Timbacore then moved to new premises covering an amazing 2 500 square meters (Bella Rosa, Durbanville). This was short lived as new developments within the Durbanville area once  again forced Timbacore to look for new premises.

By then management has seen this as an enormous challenge, due to the fact that the Factory, then situated in Blackheath and the installation Department in Maitland, also needed to be moved onto one premises. This was all done to ensure a one-stop experience for Timbacore customers.

As from 1 May 2008 Timbacore function from 15 Farad Street (end of Farad Street), Stikland on a property of just below 10 000 square meters, where everything is still under one roof, the shop and DIY department, Manufacturing Department and the Installation Department.

A convenient Coffee Shop & Take Aways was established in 2007 where customers, while shopping can enjoy a great cup of coffee / tea and refreshments.

Tony Sandell Roof Windows

Short description:

Tony Sandell Roof Windows (TSRW), established in 1988, is one of the largest manufacturers of roof windows and skylights in South Africa with over 40 000 windows fitted nationwide.

TSRW manufactures and installs:

•Roof windows

•Skylights

•Domes

•Bespoke roof windows and skylights

TSRW, South Africa’s sole manufacturer of centre pivot Roof Windows, has 22 years experience in Roof Window manufacture and installation.  TSRW owns a patent on the hinge mechanism and has developed products which are designed to withstand South Africa’s harsh conditions.

Previously marketed as SOLIS, TSRW is known to most South African architects who have supported and specified our product over the past two decades.

With the recent upsurge in Green Building practices, TSRW finds itself in an envious position to be a leader in servicing the residential market.  By specifying roof windows the architect is introducing natural light into an otherwise dark area, thus saving on electricity as well as allowing extra ventilation when needed.

There is a strong trend in South Africa towards loft conversions.  Roof windows are uniquely suited to such loft areas as they provide all the advantages in one – light, ventilation, view and cost efficiency.

At TSRW our hand crafted sub frames are solid hardwood for increased durability, and finished in natural varnish or white.  The exterior frames are clad in corrosion and fade resistant charcoal aluminium (PVF2 Coated), which together with the flashing kits are all roll formed and pressed.  All joints are double seamed to insure a completely waterproof seal.  Screws and hinges are stainless steel.

A wide range of standard sizes is available, with specials made to order.  In addition to specific mechanical aluminium flashing systems for slate, roof sheets and tiles, TSRW offer special flashings for flat and low-pitched roofs, as well as thatch.

Our nationwide team of agents can supply and fit roof windows in all major centres and beyond.  TSRW offers a world-class product manufactured right here in South Africa.  Our 2700m2 premises in Ottery, Cape Town, boasts the finest purpose built roof window and skylight machinery in South Africa.
