Yamaha South Africa

Short description:

Yamaha Distributors South Africa are the importer and distributor of Yamaha products and spares to the Southern African region.

Our success is based on the core values that we continually strive for in our dealings with the Southern African market. Honesty, integrity, excellent communication and sound business ethics, together with a focus on quality and the development of innovation, have put us in the position of being one of the most highly regarded distributors in the Southern African region.

Combined with this is the fact that our parent company, Bidvest, is an economic giant in the national and international environment, with annual revenue in excess of US$17 billion dollars. Their interests are spread over 300 businesses, structured into four divisions, with focus on foodservice, logistics, broad services trading and distribution.

Yamaha’s range of products are recognized the world over for superior quality in design, technology, craftmanship, and customer-oriented services.

Yamaha pianos have consistently remained the yardstick for piano production in Japan since the first domestically produced piano was introduced to the world in 1900. The quality of our pianos is recognized by world renowned pianists and has served to captivate audiences from many world-class stages. Yamaha pianos will continue to evolve through both time-honored craftsmanship and electronic technology as they challenge the boundaries of artistic expression. Not only does Yamaha manufacture world class pianos, the company is also involved in the production of high quality instruments such as electronic keyboards, guitars, drum sets as well as professional and commercial audio equipment.

Yamaha Audio Visual equipment offers independently developed digital home theater systems with cinema DSP technology engineered using our expertise in architectural acoustics, semiconductor technology, and acoustical design cultivated over many years. Further audio video products include desktop audio, AV receivers and amplifiers, hifi and speaker systems.

Yamaha Motor’s current line up of products includes motorcycles, scooters, boats, sail boats, personal watercrafts, utility boats, fishing boats, outboard motors, 4-wheel ATVs, golf cars, multipurpose engines, generators, and water pumps.

We are very proud to have the magnificent showroom at the World of Yamaha, which is comprised of a total area of 6650m², including a 200 seat theatre equipped with state of the art sound and lighting, which is frequently used for product launches and promotional events. The World of Yamaha, located in Sandton, is the first building of its kind in the world to house all the divisions of Yamaha under one roof.
